Remember Clive LLyod being flown in from Timehri to bat at Bourda against T&T? This is on of the things men do when they have a job to get done.
The momentum is here now, let us continue with it.
Somebody fly de damn man out there before the next test and stop procrastinating. Max out your damn credit cards collectively or beg somebody to pull some strings
If they worry about ICC say Ronnie need to replace someone Fly him out and pick up Ganga or Smith on the way back and I will put in another $5

gayle and edwards (maybe), but dont undermine what we have, sars may get there, but in what playing conditon after a long flight. they just have to fight it out, great if sars
can get there though, some one get a private jet to get him there.
You are worse off failing to try than try to fail.....
The reality of the West Indain Society?
Come on Jack ,do something good for once in your life!!
is better with him, because he broke world records while playing and we
did not win, give these young men a chance to prove themselves. lara is
a class act as a batsman, so just leave him alone let him enjoy his cricket
he has not made any statements about him joining the squad, so can
we stop getting on his case about it. sars is fit and scoring runs, and
i cannot understand, how someone can recover so well and make all
that runs if he was so injured that he could not have been with the team
on put on notice when he became fit - something does not add up, or
it could be the usual incompetence of our mgt. i would make 2 changes
to this squad, gayle is our with injury so i would bring smith in, simply based
on experience, or let ramdhin open again, lewis out for sammy and let morton
bat lower, i think chanders at least for the ist innings should bat at 3, and maybe
let smith also bat lower so he can get some more time. i think somene
has to make ot clear to ganga that unless he comes good, as a senior
man, he will have to invest in someone elase, parchment, simmons
or the young 17 year old from trinidad.
Why do you see it necessary to keep harping on this issue?
Lara and the selectors will decide. And note that Lara has not said anything about returning. It seems you are overly concen about upsetting anti Lara bandwagon?
I stand to be corrected.
not ant-lara, i am anti-going back.
i thought you would have picked that up, from all my contributions.
cricket or played the game while ago, no joke intended i am
just curious. and if u did have u captained?
As to the absurdity of bringing in Lara because he happened to score a century against ordinary bowlers, I believe it is way past the time that the callers for this action to accept the reality that the test/ODI playing days of Lara ARE DONE, FINISHED, EN FIN, FINITO!!!
the penthouse, lets be fair.
Jet Lag and the time to get used to the conditions will take a few days, so it will make no sense for Sarwan to go. I also understand his injury acted up again, albeit slightly today.
Glamorgan paceman Thomas had beaten Richards' bat a couple of times and informed him: "It's red, round and weighs about five ounces, in case you were wondering." The very next ball Richards gave him the royal treament and smashed the ball out of the ground, into a nearby river - at which point he piped up: "Greg, you know what it looks like. Now go and fetch it."
Surely you can't be serious from two standpoints. First it is a BAD idea to have your 'keeper open, especially if he has been in the field for a long time and the Windies are asked to start their innings at say just after tea. Second, Guyana is VERY FAR AWAY from SA and based on Tony Howard's known incompetence, I doubt Sarwan could make it to SA on time to get enough rest to recuperate from jet lag and time difference.
runs, but he will be very tired, unless he bats low in the ist innings, but we
cannot predict it, and u r correct about ramdhin, batting early after keeping
so then
1.ganga
2. smith
3. chanders
4. samuels
5. ramdhin
6. morton
7. sammy
8. bravo
9. taylor
10. powell
11. collins (we have to try some variation)
Not a bad lineup at all, but I still support Lewis being in and not Collins, so we will have to agree to disagree.
Bottomline, whichever 11 is selected, that is the team I am supporting.
only reason i suggested collins, is due to the fact that its something
new to the table for the third test, but i will be fine with lewis, he
should be better for this test.
Lets see if you will still support the boys in the 3rd test with Ganga as interim captain.
sammy,taylor,edwards,powell.
west indies should try amit jaggernauth as a
future spinner
Surendra remembered Clive Lloyd being flown in to bat against T&T..Surendra asking
Why the negative thought....
You are worse off failing to try than try to fail.....
The reality of the West Indain Society?
then surendra is 10 years old and every one of surendra's post gets a response from American...hmmm
Elementary my dear Watson, elementary
the trinidad win??
i did not realise that a non west indies player cannot qualify - this is
nonsense,
enjoyment to wi - see american i do suppport lara.
any word on edwards guys/girls/children???
I think its a wise move by the WiCB for not having Sarwan going to SA. He certainly would not have mde it intime for the third test while on the other hand, it is understood that he is still not 100% fully fit at the moment. So in the interest of Sarwan and WI cricket, allowing him to remain home and partaking in the less taxing Carib Beer Cricket Series is very wise.
Many may say that well, if he could'nt have made it in time for the Test match, he could for the onedayers but as I mentioned earlier, he is reportedly not fully fit as yet and as I guess everyone is fully aware that one day cricket is even more taxing than Test.
Good decision WICB.
